The Person Behind Solavi

Hi, I'm Samantha!

I'm so glad you're here.

I became a massage therapist because I wanted to create the kind of space where people would set everything else down for a while.

A place where you don't have to perform, make conversation, push through discomfort, or be anything other than the person who walked through the door.

My work is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and listening—to you, to your body, and to what you need in the moment. Sometimes that is focused therapeutic work. Sometimes it's quiet. Sometimes it's simply having space where nothing is being asked of you.

Whatever brings you to my table, we'll start there.

My Story

People often ask me,

"Why massage?"

The answer has never been about massage alone.

I was drawn to a kind of work that allowed me to truly spend time with people- not rush them through an appointment or treat them like another name on the schedule.

Massage gave me that.

Over the years, curiosity became one of the biggest influences on how I practice. I wanted to understand more than where something hurt. I wanted to understand how the body responds to stress, why pain can linger, how the nervous system influences what we feel, and why the same approach doesn't work for everyone.

That curiosity still shapes my work today.

I listen. I ask questions. I keep learning. I never assume I know what your body needs before hearing from you first.

That's the kind of therapist I want to be.

Solavi is more than the name of my practice.

It's a reflection of what I believe healing can be.

The name combines my grandfathers' last names—Solis from my maternal family and Avila from my paternal family—as a reminder that none of us are shaped by one story alone.

The triangle represents the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

The chakra-inspired center symbolizes balance, awareness, and the flow of energy throughout the body.

The lotus reminds us that growth doesn't happen despite hardship—it often begins because of it.

Just as the lotus rises through muddy water before it blooms, healing isn't about having a perfect life.

It's about finding beauty, resilience, and transformation through what we've lived.

Even the colors throughout Solavi were chosen with intention.

The soft peach honors my maternal grandmother's favorite color.

The rich burgundy honors my paternal grandmother's.

Every detail serves as a reminder that healing is deeply personal—

and that we all carry pieces of those who came before us.

The Meaning Behind Solavi

Beyond the Treatment Room

My work and curiosity don't end when I leave the treatment room.

You'll usually find me continuing my education, organizing community wellness events, exploring my Mexican heritage, spending time with my son, or simply finding joy in life's quieter moments.

Whether through a workshop, a community gathering, or a therapeutic session, my hope is always the same:

To help people feel a little lighter.

A little more grounded.

And a little more seen as they are.

There's a Place for You Here.

You don't need to know exactly what kind of session you need before you book. You don't need to arrive relaxed, put together, or ready to talk.

Just bring yourself.

As you are.

We'll figure out the rest together.
